Indian Green Building Council

Monier India joined Indian Green Building Council as a founder member in March 2013.

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), formed by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 2001 is an agency with over 1,400 members who are progressively working to enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in sustainable built environment by 2025.

Its Members comprise of all stakeholders of the construction industry viz. Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Consultants, MEP Consultants, Builders, Developers, Product and Equipment Manufacturers, Corporates, Institutions and Government agencies.

The council closely works with several State Governments, Central Government, World Green Building Council, bilateral multi-lateral agencies in promoting green building concepts.

With over 1bn sq.ft of green building footprint made in India, IGBC is growing faster in acceptance.

Monier India has become a founding member at IGBC to set new standards in green housing. Monier India will now aim to work closely with IGBC to introduce products that have larger green appeal to its customers.
