Monier Opens New Factory in Nashik

Thursday 09, October 2014

Ever since inception in India in 1997 and the first concrete manufacturing plant at Bangalore in 2003, Monier India has poised a remarkable growth trajectory in Asia Pacific till the recent years. However the capacity from a sole plant was adding serious bottlenecks to its ambitious growth plans for the next few years. This along with the need to be closer to Western & Northern Indian geographies and its customers, led to the decision of investing in a 2nd concrete plant in Nashik, around 165 Km from Mumbai. The construction started in the third quarter of 2013, and completed the production trial run by September 2014. The capacity of the new plant is same as the existing plant in Bangalore, and would manufacture Elabana range of concrete roof tiles and fittings. The production of saleable tiles was started on September 2014.

On achieving this very important landmark, Marco Righi, Regional President Monier Asia, said,”The new plant will cater to the requirements of West, Central & Northern India. With the new plant, Monier India can sustain the market leadership position, and continue to give better value to its customers”.

The sale from the new plant is expected to start from mid-October 2014.
